UI / UX: CONTEXTUAL INTERVIEWS and VALIDATED LEARNING
Strategic User Inclusion: Depending upon what is most efficient, one of the first steps might involve contextual interviews with potential users or the Clients themselves. I often begin with lots of sketches based on many contextual interviews. User centric design really requires including users as a strategic resource right from the start. Research a ton of user stories, write Personna - then prototype and test for validation of what's been learned.
FIELD NOTES become the basis for Personna Creation and deconstruction of necessary workflows, core feature sets, even hints at engagement strategy. Then Wireframes and Prototypes. I’ll test those with users in a contextual setting; validate what’s been learned to date, correct course as necessary.
